Festival season is almost upon us and whilst the stalwarts of the British festival season like Glastonbury, V Festival and Bestival, continue to thrill and excite, more and more festivals are entering the scene each year with a festival and location to suit everyone.
New for 2017 is The Great Estate (2nd-4th June 2017), which is set in the walled gardens, wild meadows and ancient woodland of Scorrier House in Cornwall. The festival will combine music from the likes of Echo and the Bunnymen and the Electric Swing Circus, as well as art, food, comedy, burlesque cabaret, fire dancing, sword swallowing, onsite spa and wellness area, fashion and children’s activities.
The Demon Dayz Festival in collaboration with Red Bull is another new festival for 2017. It takes place on June 10th in Margate in Kent and marks Gorillaz’ return to the live stage, promising to be a really great event.
In the capital too, a new music event at Finsbury Park on July 1st entitled Community, is destined to be another occasion to get music lovers together out in the fresh air.
The summer festivals offer a real mixed bag of experiences, with events not just for music lovers but foodies, literature and poetry lovers, children, and lifestyle and fitness fans. For a full list of festivals this summer check out www.summerfestivalguide.co.uk
